Christiana Custom Cabinetry

Christiana offers fully custom cabinetry for your kitchen or bathroom. That means that everything is designed and built to you and your designers specifications. At Christiana no cabinets are pre-made or warehoused. Everything that you purchase is made for you after your kitchen is designed and ordered. One of the biggest benefits of Christiana custom cabinetry is that there are no standard sizes. That means that your design is not limited by the sizes of stock or even semi-custom cabinetry. For example, with stock cabinetry, a certain sized cabinet may require a filler on the side to fill up an empty space. With Christiana you would be able to order the cabinet fill up the entire space. This results in superior space utilization in your kitchen or bathroom.

Finish

Sante Finish:

  • Uses a two componnet urethane system that is superior to catalyzed varnishes.
  • Results in a finish that is more resistant to scratching and moisture.
  • Doesn't have the oppressive odor that catalyzed varnish systems were known for.
  • Meets the health standards of the U.S. and the European Union.
  • Finish is 100% formaldehyde free.
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOC) compliant.
  • Features an Ultra-fresh additive (inhibits mold).
  • Used in Christiana's stained, painted, heirloom, village, tavern, and cottage finish collections.
  • Available in different sheen levels: 10, 30, and 70.

    • Avenir Finish:

  • Similar to Sante' finish.
  • Includes a high solids, high build sealer which requires wood to be aggressively sanded before the top-coat is applied.
  • Ideal for open grained wood which shows best with the grain filled or with a high gloss polished finish.
  • Available in both rubbed and polished.
  • Rubbed makes a flat surface free of defects. Surfaces are rubbed by hand.
  • Polished includes a process of rubbing and polishing and results in wet polished look which is full of defects.
  • No formaldehyde or isocyanides added.
  • Resistant to scratching and moisture.
  • No oppressive off-gassing odors.
  • Finish superior to laquers or catalyzed varnishes.

    Cabinet Construction:

  • Cabinet sides, top, bottom, and shelving constructed with 3/4” PureBond plywood. Cabinet back constructed with 1/2” PureBond plywood.
  • All plywood used on Christiana cabinetry is grown and harvested in North America using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods.
  • Process used to dry and cure this plywood is highly controlled and regulated to ensure that your cabinetry won't shrink or warp.
  • Cabinetry is constructed with twice as many dowels as the industry standard for a stronger cabinet.
  • Soft close hinges standard on all full-access (frameless) cabinets.
  • High weight rating for drawers. 75 Lbs. For up to 30” and 110 Lbs. For wider drawers.
  • The Dovetail drawer boxes are 3/4” thick maple on the sides, front and back and 3/8” on the bottom (greater than the industry standard of 1/4”).
  • For framed cabinetry, the frames are made of solid hardwood.
